Vault Sync connects Lara Chat file work with ReadyTools Vault behavior. When enabled, Lara can keep attached files organized with the broader ReadyTools file system instead of treating them as a one-off chat-only upload.
When to keep Vault Sync on
- You want files to remain organized for later.
- You expect to reuse the same file in other ReadyTools tools.
- You are working on a longer project where the same documents matter across multiple chats.
- You want file usage to stay connected to your workspace rather than a temporary prompt.
When you may turn it off
Turn it off when you are testing a quick one-time prompt, when the file does not need to be reused, or when you do not want the attachment to become part of your broader Vault workflow.
Practical workflow
- Decide whether the file is temporary or project material.
- Set Vault Sync before sending the message.
- Attach the file.
- Ask Lara a specific question about the file.
- Return to Vault later if you need to reuse or manage the file.
Vault Sync habit
Keep Vault Sync on for real work files and off for disposable tests.
