A Linksy profile can use a background color or image, custom text color, and custom button style. These settings should work together, especially on mobile where the page is narrow.
Start with the background
Open /linksy/appearance and choose your background first. If you use a photo, pick one with calm space behind the bio and buttons. If the image is busy, use simpler buttons.
Pick readable text
- Use dark text on light backgrounds.
- Use white or very light text on dark backgrounds.
- Avoid low-contrast combinations such as gray on gray or yellow on white.
- Check the username, bio, button labels, and social icons together.
Choose button colors
Your button background should stand apart from the page background. If the background is colorful, use a neutral button. If the background is neutral, a stronger button color can work well.
Use shape and shadow carefully
Rounded and pill buttons usually feel modern and friendly. Square, outline, and brutalist buttons feel stronger. Shadows can separate buttons from images, but heavy shadows can make the page look noisy.
