Alerts, Countdowns, and Discounts are attention modules. They should be used when something genuinely deserves urgency or visibility.
Use Alert for short important messages
An Alert works well for schedule changes, sold-out notices, new releases, shipping updates, temporary closure, important warnings, or a quick message that affects the visitor's next action.
Use Countdown for real deadlines
A Countdown is useful for launches, event starts, registration deadlines, limited drops, early-bird pricing, and campaign endings. It should point visitors toward a clear action.
Use Discount for offers
- Mention the offer clearly.
- Use a button label that explains how to redeem it.
- Place it near the product, service, or checkout link.
- Remove or hide it when the discount expires.
Urgency rule
Do not use fake urgency. Visitors lose trust when every message looks like an emergency.
