New Workspace block: Boards

Boards bring a complete visual workflow system directly into your Workspace pages. You can use them to manage projects, organize tasks, plan product development, track bugs, build content calendars, collect ideas, or create a workflow that matches the way your team actually works.

Create custom columns, add hundreds of cards, and move everything around using smooth drag-and-drop controls. Columns can be renamed, reordered, color-coded, collapsed, and expanded, while cards can be moved freely between different stages of your workflow.

Each card can include much more than a simple title.

You can add:

• Detailed descriptions

• Priorities

• Start dates and due dates

• Multiple assignees

• Custom colors

• Icons

• Additional Workspace blocks inside the card

• Comments and collaborative content

Cards can therefore become complete working documents instead of simple task labels. A card can contain notes, checklists, images, files, links, headings, or other supported Workspace content, allowing the entire context of a task to stay in one place.

Boards also include built-in overview indicators that make large workflows easier to understand. You can quickly see how many cards exist, which tasks are urgent, which ones are overdue, and how many have already been assigned.

The built-in search system can scan card titles, descriptions, columns, priorities, and assigned members. Even when a board contains hundreds of cards, you can find the exact task you need without manually searching through every column.

You can customize how each board behaves and looks. Change card sizes, show or hide descriptions, priorities, assignees, and dates, enable colored columns, and adjust the board to fit compact workflows or more detailed project management.

Boards are also deeply integrated with Workspace collaboration. Cards can be assigned to Workspace members, edited by multiple people, and used together with the existing editing, viewing, and suggestion permissions.

Urgent tasks can even be connected to an automatic assignee, helping teams make sure important cards immediately reach the right person.

The entire experience was designed to remain fast and responsive even with large boards, deeply nested card content, and complex workflows. Boards support hundreds of cards, thousands of connected blocks, and detailed card pages without turning the Workspace into a separate or disconnected project management tool.

Everything stays inside the same Workspace page.

Built for every screen

Boards are fully responsive and were designed separately for desktop and mobile instead of simply shrinking the desktop interface.

On desktop, boards use the available horizontal space to provide a wide and clear workflow overview. Cards and columns can be reordered naturally, while detailed card content opens in a focused side panel.

On mobile, the experience switches to touch-friendly controls, horizontal card navigation, responsive column sizing, and dedicated bottom sheets for settings and actions.

Mobile panels can be expanded, collapsed, or dismissed with natural gestures, making larger boards comfortable to manage even on smaller screens.

The interface automatically adapts card sizes, controls, menus, and interactions based on the available space, so Boards remain practical whether you are working from a desktop, tablet, or phone.

The mobile slash menu now includes a built-in search bar.

Instead of scrolling through the entire list of available blocks, you can start typing the name of the block you need and add it immediately.

This makes the slash menu significantly faster to use as Workspace continues to grow and more block types become available.

More reliable Restore

We also fixed an issue that could occur after using Restore when a large number of blocks had been deleted.

Previously, restoring a large deletion could leave parts of the Workspace in an inconsistent state if the user changed their mind and brought everything back.

Restore now handles larger block collections more reliably, making it safer to undo major deletions in long documents, complex pages, and larger Workspace projects.
