Open and close the sidebar

On mobile, use the Workspace navigation control to open the sidebar drawer. Use Close Sidebar to return to the page. The desktop shortcut shown for the sidebar, Ctrl/Cmd+\, is mainly useful on keyboard-based devices.

Add blocks on mobile

  1. Tap into an editable block.
  2. Type /.
  3. Use the Add block drawer.
  4. Search with Search blocks....
  5. Tap a block to insert it, or use Explore more for the full library.

Use block settings and actions

Block actions such as Block Settings, Duplicate, Move Up, Move Down, Turn Into, Color, Block metadata, Add caption, Comment, and Delete are still access-controlled on mobile. If you are a Viewer, editing actions are not available.

Use boards on mobile

Board columns scroll horizontally on mobile. Open a card to edit Status, Priority, Assignees, Start date, Due date, and description. Board settings opens as a mobile sheet.

Mode and layout differences

  • The page mode controls are visible from mobile page options when mode switching is allowed. View is the confirmed read-only local mode label.
  • Centered View, Full Width, and Right mini map are desktop or larger-screen controls and may not appear on mobile.
  • Embed resize handles can be toggled from page options, but resizing embedded content is easier on desktop.

Tips

  • Use shorter page titles so the sidebar stays readable.
  • Use collapsible headings to reduce scrolling on long pages.
  • Use Search... or Ctrl/Cmd+K on devices with keyboards instead of browsing a large page tree.
  • Use Force Sync before switching networks if you have just made important edits.
