The palette editor starts with two colors. You can add more colors, remove extra colors, and edit each color using the color input or the HEX text field.
Color count
A palette must keep at least two colors. The editor allows adding colors up to the configured maximum used by the form. Keep the count focused: three to five colors are usually enough for a practical palette.
Edit a color
- Click the color block to use the browser color picker.
- Edit the HEX input below the color block for exact values.
- Use full six-digit HEX values for predictable results.
- Remove a color with the remove button when the palette becomes too crowded.
Use contrast intentionally
Do not choose only similar colors. Include at least one light and one dark value if the palette will be used for interface text, buttons, cards, or backgrounds.
Color count tip
More colors do not automatically make a better palette. Use only the colors that have a clear role.
