Some ReadyTools workflows need a publicly accessible file URL. In those cases, the Vault picker can be opened with public file mode enabled.
- The picker shows a status note that public files are enabled.
- After selection, Vault calls the make-public flow for each selected file.
- The returned file includes a public URL.
- The selected file is marked public in Vault.
Important
Public mode should only be used for files that are safe to expose through a URL.
