How Vault file search works

The Vault search bar can search your files by name, filename, MIME type, folder path, and tags. It loads a cached list of Vault files and ranks results by relevance.

• Type at least two characters to search.
• Use Ctrl K or Cmd K to focus search quickly.
• Use the filter menu to search only images, videos, audio, PDFs, text files, public files, or private files.
• Press Enter to open the active result preview.
• Use Escape to clear or close the search panel.
