Chromo has received a major upgrade across color analysis, typography, gradients, color libraries, physical color information, mixing tools, and developer exports.
The Color Laboratory has been expanded with more reliable and flexible color-mixing tools.
Fixed incorrect percentage labels in two-color mixing.
Two-color mixing now uses clear, weighted color ratios.
Added a dedicated multi-color mixer.
Users can add or remove as many colors as needed.
Each color has its own adjustable percentage.
Mixing ratios remain normalized to 100%.
The original Chromo color remains available as the base color.
Improved adjustment controls for:
Lightness
Saturation
Hue
Visual temperature
Simplified the interface to keep complex mixing understandable.
Typography recommendations are now more varied and context-aware.
Expanded the available font-pairing database.
Added more professional Google Fonts combinations.
Removed recommendations that depended on unavailable commercial fonts.
Improved recommendations using:
Hue
Saturation
Lightness
Warm or cool appearance
Pastel, muted, vivid, deep, neutral, and earthy characteristics
Reduced repetitive font recommendations.
Improved variation between headline and body font pairings.
Font previews continue to load only the families needed for the current recommendations.
The Gradient Gallery now includes a carefully selected collection of practical CSS backgrounds instead of a large set of repetitive variations.
New and improved styles include:
Brand gradients
Soft backgrounds
Deep hero backgrounds
Complementary gradients
Aurora backgrounds
Neon bloom effects
Silk mesh gradients
Spotlights
Corner glows
Glass-like auras
Holographic effects
Grain textures
Glow grids
Dot patterns
The gallery remains divided into a small number of easy-to-understand categories:
Popular
Mesh and Aurora
Lights
Patterns
Each result can be copied as ready-to-use CSS.
Color matching across digital and physical color libraries has been improved.
Supported libraries now include:
Tailwind CSS
Material Design 2
CSS named colors
Bootstrap
Open Color
Pantone reference data
RAL reference data
Copic reference data
Improvements include:
Corrected several inaccurate palette values.
Added safer validation for imported color-library data.
Invalid or incomplete records no longer break the matching process.
Duplicate colors are filtered before comparison.
Each library displays only the closest match.
Matching uses CIEDE2000 color difference through ΔE.
The original color and matched color remain visible side by side.
Physical libraries are treated as screen-based approximations rather than guaranteed production matches.
The Physical Properties section has been corrected to avoid presenting misleading scientific precision.
Removed the claim that a digital HEX color has one exact wavelength.
Removed frequency and photon-energy values derived from an assumed wavelength.
Removed Kelvin temperature estimates for arbitrary interface colors.
Added broad visible-spectrum relationships where they are meaningful.
Non-spectral colors such as many magenta and purple-pink colors are identified correctly.
Low-saturation colors are treated as achromatic.
Warm, cool, and neutral values are presented as visual temperature classifications.
Relative luminance continues to use the calculated digital color value.
Improved card spacing and alignment.
Fixed the icon containers so they remain perfect squares.
Moved the shared RGB and spectrum explanation below the three cards to reduce repeated content.
Chromo can now generate a complete semantic UI color system from a single HEX color.
Generated tokens include:
Primary
Primary hover
Primary active
Primary soft
Primary border
Background
Surface
Elevated surface
Muted surface
Text primary
Text secondary
Text muted
Text on primary
Border
Border strong
Focus ring

Info
The generated values consider readability, surface relationships, interaction states, and contrast instead of producing simple lightened and darkened copies.
The former Code section has been expanded into a full design-system export tool.
Supported formats include:
CSS variables
SCSS variables
Tailwind configuration
JavaScript
TypeScript
JSON
React Native
SwiftUI
Android XML
W3C Design Tokens
Style Dictionary
All code formats are displayed in closed accordions by default, keeping the interface manageable while still making every format available.
Each format includes:
A dedicated preview
Copy action
Correct file extension
Ready-to-use semantic color tokens
The export system now supports complete downloadable packages.
By default, the Export button downloads a ZIP containing:
CSS
SCSS
Tailwind configuration
Export settings allow users to:
Select exactly which formats to include
Download one file or a complete ZIP
Change the output filename
Change the token prefix
Include or remove token metadata
Use formatted or compact JSON
Export all supported platform formats together
ZIP generation works directly in the browser and does not require another frontend dependency.
Improved responsive behavior across mobile, tablet, desktop, and narrow containers.
Reduced unnecessary interface clutter.
Improved keyboard accessibility.
Added safer clipboard and export error handling.
Removed misleading or overly confident scientific descriptions.
Improved dark-mode consistency.
Preserved the existing rounded Chromo design language.
Avoided unnecessary shadows and decorative hover effects.
Improved data validation and fallback behavior throughout the updated components.
Everything stays free.
