How to share only part of a Lara Chat

Use partial sharing when you want to share selected user and assistant message pairs instead of the entire conversation.

Partial sharing is useful when one answer is valuable but the rest of the chat should stay private. Lara Chat lets you select message pairs around an assistant answer and create a share link for only those selected messages.

How partial sharing works

When you start partial sharing from an assistant message, Lara Chat selects the related user prompt and assistant response. You can add pairs above or below if the shared context needs more messages.

Use partial sharing for

  • One explanation you want to send to a teammate.
  • A generated plan without the private brainstorming before it.
  • A code answer without unrelated chat history.
  • A lesson section or quiz result.
  • A comparison or analysis that stands alone.

Read the selected messages carefully. Partial sharing reduces exposure, but it does not automatically remove sensitive text inside the selected messages.

Partial share tip

Select the smallest message set that still makes sense to the reader.
