Workspace pages are the top-level containers for your blocks. A page can be a note, project hub, task board, handbook section, or public source page for a Workspace Site.

Before you start

You need edit access to create or organize pages. If you only have Viewer access, you can view and comment but cannot create, move, or delete pages.

Create a page

  1. Open Workspace.
  2. Find the Private section in the sidebar.
  3. Use the plus button beside the section or page area to create a new page.
  4. Click the title field and replace Untitled with a clear page name.
  5. Start adding blocks in the editor.

Sharing a page

Create the page in Private, then use Share in the top navbar or Move Page when you want other people to access it.

Create a sub-page

  1. Hover or focus the parent page in the sidebar.
  2. Use the page row action that creates a nested page.
  3. Name the sub-page.
  4. Use sub-pages for supporting material, meeting notes, specs, or topic sections that belong under the parent page.

Rename a page

  1. Open the page menu in the sidebar.
  2. Choose Rename.
  3. Enter the new name.
  4. Keep page names specific, such as Launch checklist instead of Notes.

Move a page

  1. Open the page menu.
  2. Choose Move to....
  3. In Move Page, pick a destination from Select destination....
  4. Choose Private Workspace (Root), Shared Workspace (Root), or another valid page.
  5. Select Move.

Workspace prevents invalid moves such as moving a page into itself or into one of its own sub-pages. If a destination is missing, you probably do not have the needed access or the page cannot be used as that destination.

Delete a page

  1. Open the page menu.
  2. Choose Delete.
  3. Read the Delete Page confirmation.
  4. Select Delete only if you are ready to remove the page and all sub-pages.

Deletion warning

The delete confirmation says: Are you sure you want to delete this page and all its sub-pages? This action cannot be undone. Export important pages before deleting them.

Common mistakes

  • Creating too many top-level pages instead of using sub-pages for related work.
  • Using generic names such as Untitled, which makes search and sharing harder.
  • Deleting a parent page without checking its sub-pages.
  • Expecting Shared to mean public. Shared pages are still access-controlled unless published with Workspace Sites.

FAQ

How do I make a page available to others? Create the page, then use Share in the top navbar or Move Page when your access allows.

What happens when I delete a page? The page and its sub-pages are removed. The UI warns that this cannot be undone.

Can I move a page into its own sub-page? No. Workspace blocks that invalid move to protect the page tree.
