Use Customize site to change how an existing Workspace Site appears to visitors. These settings affect the public read-only site, not the source Workspace page.

Before you start

  • Create or update a Workspace Site first.
  • Open the site from a workspace where you have permission to update it.
  • Use Plus or Max to save Customize site changes. The screen shows a Plus or Max badge when the current plan is required.

Open Customize site

  1. Open Space Sites from the Workspace sidebar.
  2. Find the published site.
  3. Choose Customize site.
  4. Use the tabs in the Customize site modal.

Edit Appearance settings

The Appearance tab contains Header and navigation settings. Use these switches to control the public header area.

SettingWhat it changes
Show headerShows the site name and public controls at the top.
Page navigationLets visitors switch between the published pages.
BreadcrumbsShows where the current page is in the published structure.
SearchAllows visitors to search through published pages and blocks.

Edit Search and SEO settings

The Search and SEO tab contains SEO title, SEO description, and Search preview. Use these fields to control the page title and description that can appear in search and link previews.

  • Use SEO title for a short, clear public title.
  • Use SEO description for a concise summary of the site.
  • Use Search preview to check the public path, title, and description before saving.

Edit Sharing settings

The Sharing tab contains Allow duplication. When enabled, signed-in visitors can use Use this template on the public site to copy the published Space into their own Workspace.

Edit Branding settings

The Branding tab contains favicon and ReadyTools attribution controls.

  • Use Favicon to set a small browser-tab and preview image.
  • Use Choose from Vault to select an existing Vault image.
  • Use Upload favicon to upload a favicon file.
  • Use Remove favicon to clear the current favicon.
  • Use Show ReadyTools attribution to control the small ReadyTools link shown in the public header when your plan allows it.

Save changes

  1. Make your changes in Customize site.
  2. Check the Unsaved changes badge.
  3. Select Save changes.
  4. Open the public site to review the result.

What visitors can use

Depending on your saved settings, visitors may see Search site, Share, Full-width view, Centered view, Use this template, and Get Workspace free on the public site.

Troubleshooting

  • If Save changes is disabled, check whether there are unsaved changes and whether the site can be customized on your plan.
  • If Search site does not appear publicly, open Customize site and check the Search switch.
  • If navigation does not appear, confirm that more than one page was published and Page navigation is enabled.
  • If favicon upload fails, try a small image file and save again.
