Drag and Drop operations allow users to move HTML elements within the page. This is natively supported by HTML5 using JavaScript.
To make an element draggable, add the attribute 'draggable="true"'. The drop target must include event handlers for 'dragover' and 'drop' events.
Several events need to be handled for drag & drop to work: - dragstart: when dragging starts - dragover: when the item is over a target - drop: when the item is dropped - dragend: when dragging ends - dragenter / dragleave: entering/leaving a drop target
Use the 'dataTransfer' object to pass information about the dragged item. The setData and getData methods allow you to transfer data like element IDs or other custom data.
Drag & drop is useful for file uploads, reordering lists, or visual editors. Always provide visual feedback, such as style changes, when an element is draggable or a valid drop target.
