ReadyTools Update – Vault Security & Reliability Upgrade

This update focuses on making file storage significantly more secure, consistent, and reliable — especially when working inside Workspaces and with teams.

What’s improved

Stronger security by design Every file operation now goes through tighter ownership and permission checks. Private files stay private, and the system no longer reveals whether a file exists if you don’t have access to it. Public sharing is now fully under your control, with clearer ownership verification before anything becomes shareable.

Cleaner and more consistent file handling We’ve removed outdated fallback logic and standardized how Vault data is requested and processed. This reduces the chance of unexpected behavior and makes the system more predictable as we continue to add features.

Better performance under the hood Upload and permission checks that previously involved multiple slow database lookups have been streamlined. The system now resolves access rights more efficiently, even in deeply nested Workspace pages.

Improved media integration Images, videos, and audio files inside Workspaces now stay properly linked to Vault. Uploading and deleting media is automatically kept in sync with the secure storage layer.

Stronger foundation for teams We’ve reinforced the database rules that control who can see and manage files in team contexts, along with clearer limits and audit capabilities.

This was a planned security and performance overhaul that has now been fully implemented.
