How to add icons to Linksy buttons

Add or update icons on Linksy link buttons so visitors can recognize destinations faster.

Button icons help visitors scan your Linksy page quickly. They are useful for websites, stores, social profiles, booking links, portfolios, and other repeated destinations.

  1. Open /linksy/general.
  2. Find the link button you want to edit.
  3. Open the link's additional settings.
  4. Find the icon settings for that link.

Use a favicon when possible

For normal website URLs, Linksy can use the destination website favicon when it is available. This works best when the URL points to a real public website with a valid icon.

Use custom icons carefully

  • Use simple icons that stay recognizable at small size.
  • Avoid detailed images inside button icons.
  • Use the same icon style across the page when possible.
  • Do not use icons that imply a different destination than the button actually opens.

Save and test

After changing icon settings, save the General editor and check Preview. The icon should support the button label, not replace a clear label.
