What Adobe swatches are

Adobe swatch files let you bring a palette into tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. They are useful when the palette will be used for illustration, layout, print preparation, presentation graphics, or brand assets.

When to use this export

Use the Adobe export when your work is moving into a creative file instead of a codebase. It helps keep colors consistent across banners, posters, social graphics, icons, and editorial layouts.

How to work with swatches

After importing the swatches, create a small test layout and apply the colors to backgrounds, headings, shapes, and accents. This gives you a better sense of how the palette behaves in real compositions.

Palette colors are usually selected as screen colors first. If the project will be printed, check the colors in the correct print color mode and review the output with your printer or production workflow.
