Palette Page Basics Guide and tutorial

How to use related palettes

Use related palettes to keep exploring similar color directions from the same category or color family.

Related palettes help you continue browsing when one palette is close but not perfect. They are shown based on shared categories or color-family tags.

Near the bottom of a palette page, related palette cards can appear for the same color category or similar category context. Each card opens another palette page.

  • Open several related palettes in separate tabs.
  • Compare the main color strip first.
  • Check contrast and role options on the strongest candidates.
  • Save the palettes that may fit your project.
  • Export only after choosing the final direction.

Use related palettes when you like the mood but need a different accent, a darker base, a warmer version, or stronger text contrast.

Exploration tip

If a palette is almost right, related palettes often get you closer faster than starting from random browsing again.
