How to use Palette Theme Transformer

Create a matching light or dark direction from an existing palette.

What Theme Transformer does

Palette Theme Transformer checks whether the current palette reads closer to a light or dark theme, then creates a matching opposite direction. It helps you create a paired theme without manually rebuilding the palette color by color.

Original and generated colors

The component shows the original palette beside the transformed version. This makes it easier to compare whether the new mode still feels connected to the original design.

When to use it

Use Theme Transformer when you have a palette that works well in one mode but you also need a light or dark version. It is especially helpful for dashboards, profile pages, landing pages, settings screens, and products where users expect theme flexibility.

Copying colors

Each generated color can be copied directly. Copy only the colors you need if you are testing a small change, or copy the full transformed palette into your design tokens when you are ready to build a complete theme.

Check contrast after transforming

A transformed palette is a strong starting point, but you should still check text and background pairs. After transforming a theme, use Relationship Map or your own UI preview to confirm that buttons, panels, labels, and long text remain readable.
