How to build an event section in Linksy

Use the Event module and supporting blocks to show event details, registration links, location, time, and attendee information.

An event section should answer the questions people ask before they register or attend: what is happening, when it happens, where it is, who it is for, and what they should do next.

Use the Event module for core details

Create an Event block when the date and event context matter. Use a clear title, useful description, and a direct registration, ticket, or details link.

Add supporting blocks

  • Countdown: highlight how much time remains before registration closes or the event starts.
  • Map: help visitors find the venue.
  • FAQ: answer parking, refund, age limit, dress code, schedule, or access questions.
  • Gallery: show photos from previous events.
  • Alert: show a short urgent update, such as sold out, venue change, or limited seats.

After the event

Do not leave expired event content at the top. Hide it, replace it with a recap gallery, or change the button to the next event.

Event rule

If the event has a deadline, make the deadline visible near the registration action.
