Your avatar appears on your profile and in ReadyTools features. Choosing one makes your account more personal. You can set it in three ways: upload your own image, choose from the Vault, or select from characters/illustrations.
Setting Your Avatar
To set your avatar, follow these steps:
- Log in to your ReadyTools account.
- Click on your profile picture in the top right corner, then select Settings.
- Click on the Public tab in the left-hand menu.
- Click the Upload Avatar button.
- Choose your preferred method for setting the avatar: Choose from Vault, Upload Your Own File, or Predefined Characters.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to select or upload an image.
- Then click the Save button to apply the changes.
Choosing from the Vault
If you’ve previously uploaded images to the Vault, you can set any of them as your avatar. Click the Open in Vault button, select an image, and set it as your profile picture instantly.
Uploading Your Own File
Click the Upload section or drag and drop your file. Once the upload is complete, your profile picture will immediately switch to the new one. Note that some file formats, such as SVG, are not supported.
Supported Formats
- JPEG (.jpg, .jpeg)

- WEBP (.webp)
- GIF (.gif)
- AVIF (.avif)
Uploaded images are immediately compressed by our system for fast and secure display.
Predefined Characters
If you don’t want to upload your own image, you can choose from illustrations provided by ReadyTools. These come from the unDraw library and are designed in a modern, clean style.
Tips for a Good Avatar
- Use a clear, easily recognizable image.
- Avoid blurry or overly dark photos.
- Choose an animated GIF only if it’s not distracting.
- For business use, consider setting a professional portrait.
- Ensure the image complies with our community guidelines.
- Make sure your avatar aligns with the rest of your profile.
- Regularly update your avatar to reflect your current appearance or mood.
