How to attach files to Lara Chat

Attach supported files to Lara Chat so Lara can summarize, analyze, rewrite, compare, or use them as context.

File attachments let Lara answer using your own material. This is useful for PDFs, documents, code files, CSVs, JSON, Markdown, HTML, plain text, and other supported readable formats.

Supported file examples

  • Text files, Markdown, CSV, JSON, HTML, and XML.
  • PDF files.
  • DOCX documents.
  • JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, C, C++, Java, Go, and Rust source files.
  • Images on the start page when supported by the current flow.

Blocked file examples

Executable or archive-style files such as .exe, .bat, .cmd, .sh, .dll, .so, .dylib, .wasm, .zip, .rar, and .7z are blocked for safety and compatibility.

How to write the request

  • Summarize this PDF into 10 key points.
  • Find risks in this contract draft and explain them in plain English.
  • Review these source files and suggest the most important refactors.
  • Compare these two CSV exports and identify trends.

File tip

Tell Lara what to do with the file. Uploading a file without a clear question often produces a less useful summary.
