Your display name is one of the most prominent parts of your profile. When someone visits your page, it’s shown right next to your username. It’s often the first thing people use to identify you, so it’s worth paying attention to.
Unlike your username, you don’t have to stick to a strict format here. The display name is more about expressing yourself: you can use your full name, a short nickname, or anything else that you think looks good next to your profile.
Changing Your Display Name
- Open the Settings page.
- Click on the Public tab in the left-hand menu.
- Scroll down to the Display Name field.
- Enter your new name (up to 50 characters long).
- Click the Save button to finalize the change.
Your display name can be up to 50 characters long. This is enough to include a full name, nickname, or even a short message.
Tips for Choosing
If you’re unsure what to write, think about how you want others to see you on the platform. Here are a few ideas:
- Use your real name for a more formal profile.
- Use a nickname for a friendlier, more approachable vibe.
- For a business profile, consider using your company or brand name.
- For a creative profile, you could even include a short motto or message.
Important Information
Your display name must always comply with the terms of use. This means it cannot be offensive, misleading, or contain prohibited content. If the name violates the guidelines, it may be removed.
