What the Chromo color hero shows

Understand the large top section of a Chromo color page.

1 min read140 wordsUpdated May 20, 2026

The color hero is the first section on a Chromo color page. It uses the selected color as the full background, so you can immediately see the color at a large size.

What it shows

  • The selected HEX value in a badge.
  • The main color name, using the ReadyTools name when available.
  • A secondary closest color name when Chromo has an extra name match.
  • An exact match or closest match indicator.
  • A copy button that copies the HEX value.

If Chromo has an exact ReadyTools name for the color, the hero treats that as the primary name. If not, it can show the closest available name and an approximate match percentage.

How to read it

Use the hero as the identity summary: color, HEX, name, and match confidence.
