What the Paint Mixer section shows

Understand the artist and printer mixing estimates in Chromo.

1 min read120 wordsUpdated May 20, 2026

The Paint Mixer section estimates how the selected color could be described as a physical mix. It has separate views for artist pigments and printer inks.

Artist tab

The Artist tab uses an RYB-style pigment estimate with red, yellow, blue, white, and black percentages.

Printer tab

The Printer tab shows a CMYK-style ink estimate with cyan, magenta, yellow, and key black percentages.

  • Percent bars show the approximate recipe.
  • Visual blobs show the ingredient colors.
  • Copy recipe copies the current mix as text.

Important

Real paint and print output depends on pigment, paper, light, printer profile, and material. Treat these values as guidance, not a guaranteed formula.
